The sebaceous gland that produces oil or sebum makes the skin smoother and more supple however there are times when it goes awry and instead block the pores leading to the development of pimples.

It is not yet clear why only certain pores are blocked while the other neighboring pores are not affected. These unaffected pores continuously produce oil. This somewhat explains why pimples keep coming back after sometime.

The nose is an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and for any other type of infection. Why? Basically because of the very nature of the nose, it is wet and moist just perfect for breeding bacteria. Pimples are caused by bacteria and usually find their way inside the nose causing nose pimples.
