How to Treat Face Pimples?
First of all, it is not advisable to use just any type of pimple removal solution that is not prescribed by a dermatologist. Basically because it is your face that you are dealing with here and definitely you would not want to harm that beautiful face of yours.
Unfortunately once you get that bump on your face it seems so hard for you not to try to remove it. One of the most common things that teenagers and adult alike do to remove face pimples is to apply toothpaste on their zits. This is very dangerous since toothpaste contains chemicals that do not only irritate the skin but more of burn the skin. So instead of you having only one problem you get to have two problems.
Another pimple removing myth is the application of lipstick on pimples. There are no studies or research to back up the claim that lipsticks really do help in removing pimples. Whoever came up with the idea was probably just joking and somebody happens to hear it then maybe that’s when the whole lipstick on pimple thing begins. But who cares the most important thing is that we know that it doesn’t work.
Here are some tips on how to control your face pimples:
1. Clean your face by washing it with a non-detergent pH balanced containing cleanser. For oily skin it is advisable to apply cleanser containing salicylic acid or Benzoil peroxide. However be careful with the salicylic acid since it can burn the skin. Refrain from scrubbing the irritated skin and if your skin not that oily refrain from using toner since it will only dry up your skin.
2. Apply on your face pimples acne treatment solutions that contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and glycolic acid. Before going to bed at night apply a spot drying treatment solution plus a non-greasy moisturizer on the dry areas of your face. Upon waking up, put on a non-greasy sunscreen gel on your face.
3. In case you have to attend an important event and you need an immediate cover up you may use a concealer or apply a cream foundation that is of the same skin tone as your skin and dab it on your face pimples. And remember to wash the concealer off after to let your skin breathe.
