The most common skin area where pimples appear is the face. But pimples do not just appear on the face but rather, they could develop all over the other parts of the body. People commonly experience having pimples everywhere like head pimples, butt pimples, other body pimples - even genital pimples.
The question now is what causes body pimples? The primary cause of body pimples is the over secretion of oil or sebum by the sebaceous glands. Body pimples usually appear on the areas wherein the skin surface has greater number of sebaceous glands. That then explains why pimples usually grow on the face, back and chest – these are the body parts that have numerous sebaceous glands.
Body pimples are usually more prevalent in men but it does not mean women can’t get them. Next to men, women who are busy with work and have high-flying careers are the first type of women that develop body pimples, followed by facial pimples later in their lives. This observation shows that there seems to be a relationship between the level of stress and the appearance of body pimples in a person.
Comparing the ages, young men commonly experience having facial pimples while older men, on the other hand, are the ones who have to watch out their bodies for body pimples and acne on the torso.
With regards to physical activity, both men and women who live very active physical lifestyles also tend to get body pimples more because they perspire frequently.
Comparing body and facial pimples, body pimples are more difficult to treat. Why is this so? Take the back for example. It is made up of thousands of sebaceous glands that produce excessive oil that makes it more susceptible to developing more serious forms of body pimples such as cysts and nodules.
Just how exactly can you treat or cure body pimples? There are easy steps to follow. In fact, just taking a shower after every physical exercise can help as it washes away excess oil and allows the skin to breathe immediately after the physical exercise, which in effect, may reduce the tendency of getting body pimples.
Another simple practice that may help prevent body pimples is wearing loose clothes made from natural breathable fabrics such as cotton and linen. The advantage of wearing these kinds of fabrics is that they allow the body to perspire freely. Another thing to consider in preventing body pimples is the diet and stress level that one experiences. Cutting the intake of greasy, fatty and sweet foods as well as reducing the stress level experienced everyday may help prevent and reduce body pimples.
To directly soothe body pimples, one may opt to blend together the following: 2 teaspoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of almond oil, 1 teaspoon of calendula oil, 2drops of tea tree oil, 1 drop of chamomile oil, 1 drop of lavender oil. After blending them, keep the oil on a dark glass bottle and may be used when massaging the body parts with pimples.
